is it right to follow practices such as taking bath in sarovars?
I have basic understanding that our gurus prohibited us from doing karam kaands, murti pooja etc.
taking bath in rivers, sarovers, ponds is also one of the karam kaand being practised by some religons for thousands of years.
I have used this one example to cite the fact that majority of the sikhs just follow the sikhism (going to guruduaras, reading and/or listening gurbani etc) but still they don't have insight into gurbani.
i have seen many people who follow the nitnam but when it comes to humanity they sometimes forget the principle of EKOMKAR.
for me I,m trying to not only read the gurbani but also understand it and till now i have only understood and practized the EKOMKAR (the very first word in gurbani, ardass etc).
