The CBI court ordered to frame charges against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in a sexual exploitation case of dera sadhvis here today.

The inquiry officer of the case, DSP, CBI, Satish Dagar, has confirmed it.

UK-based Sikhs upset over desecration of war memorial

LONDON: The large Sikh community in the west Midlands town of Coventry is outraged after a memorial in honour of Sikh soldiers was desecrated by miscreants who tied a pig's head to the structure.

The war memorial was put up near a central roundabout by the community in 2005 to honour the 83,000 Sikh soldiers who fought in the British army during the two World Wars.

Three bodyguards of Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, chief of the Dera Sacha Sauda sect, who were arrested yesterday for shooting a man to death at a Mumbai mall, have been remanded in police custody till July 2. The names of the bodyguards are Jagdev Singh, Satnam Arora and Rajguru Taneja.

Washington June 20, : President Bush has greeted the Sikhs across America and worldwide on the 300th anniversary of the Sikh Scripture, Guru Granth Sahib as the community will commemorate this event in October.
