It was struggle for K. Sharnjit Singh ,a resident of border town Batala, who went to Mumbai as film journalist in late sixties and later became famous as ‘Fida Batalvi’ by penning a number of Urdu/ Punjabi lyrics for great singers of India and Pakistan .
