DERAS and Dehdharee GURUS as well as small time "Sants" Maharajs, Mahapurashs, Babas etc all proliferate and expand..because the SIKH PARCHAAR is non existant. The SGPC responsibility in parchaar has failed badly.
Secondly most of the followers of these are POOR and so called LOW CASTES. The Rich and so called High cste Jatts among Sikhs despise these poor ones, treat them like dirt. Finding no acceptance in mainstream GURDWARAS as respectable Sikhs as Guru ji intended...these then look elsewhere...and the "living Guru" welcomes them with open arms...once hooked..they remain chelas for life. Just look at how many are deserting the dera now that some Sikhs are welcoming the PREMIS back with Siropas...THAT RESPECT is all they ever wanted..IF the SIKH GURDWARAS and SIKHS can give them the respect and LOVE..they will depart from the deras in droves..BUT can we do that ??

This really seems to me as controversial topic that need detailed investigation.
What ever is published in the media and else where may not reflected the truth.
Any inputs on this would be appreciated.
