A SIKH bows before his grandfather grand mother etc. Nobody can easily learn the talent of bowing. Remember you bow only when you acknowledge the teaching and talents of a person you are bowing other wisely it will be called moorty pooja.

Yes, it does.The body which sings the glory of Gursabad becomes Guru's
body, eyes which sees the world is His eys, He alone is the
Daykhanhaara.Hands which does seva/service are His hands and feet
which walks to meet with the SatGuru are His feet not haumai loaded
body's eyes or feet. So what enshrines the Gursabad is His Deh.

We may have to come out of haumai to experience His Body His Feet His
Looks through His Eyes.

Now who made my haumai loaded body Guru's body: the answer is Gursabad

What kind of respect a haumai loaded body can give this powerful

We do and need both.Without Body we cant connect with Him. (Is dehee

the creator we have replaced our Guru as Jugo Jug Atal with what we
have started accepting, spreading the message for, discussing and
relegating the sabadguru as a scripture, as a book, as a print. we are
in race with other religions to tell we have a scripture too. Without
realizing that the SabadGuru as blessed to Guru's Sikhs remains the
rear treasure of Gurmat which the entire mankind has as the Creator

for His creation.

yes a sikh should bow his head before a GURURS picture ,otherwise he has no right to claim or say he is a
sikh.

Guru of Sikhs is SHABAD GURU..not pictures, idols, statues, etc.

Ritualised BOWING is of no use..Shabad Guru demands FOLLOWING the Divine TEACHINGS incorporated into our DAILY LIFE.

Bowing to SGGS is not just "bowing" ones head and getting up....Real BOWING is placing our own MANMATT at guru jis feet and taking heed of GURU MATT

"Darshan" of Shabad Guru is NOT lifting up the Rumallas of SGGS and LOOKING at Guru Ji !! Darshan of SHABAD is FOLLOWING PRACTICALLY the teachings that are in the SGGS.

WHAT can IMAGINARY pictures TEACH US ?? NOTHING..ZILCH. PERIOD.
Has anybody kept his hair long.beard long and worn a dastaar....because he saw Guru nanak's picture ??
Has anyone started to ride a horse, and keep a falcon..because he saw a picture of Guru gobind Singh Ji...

Mullions..began to keep long hair and wear dastaars because Guru ji TOLD them so...
Bhai Taru Singh preferred to have his scalp removed but NOT his Hair..

Now a days millions "bow" to pictures..and then go straight to the barber ( after a drink at the local pub ).
